sigh

"mum, I'm going out later. Spencer and I are going to the lib-"...

"I seriously think you two should stop wasting your life away ..."

... the library to read & learn more about...

"...and do some serious learning during the holidays"

... about Credit Analysis and investment products etc cos we've got some bank interviews coming up so hopefully we don't have to go to audit firms...

" Why do you all have to start work so late? Don't you have anything better to do?"

...btw, I'm starting this late only because you all want me to go for the wedding, remember?...

Seriously now, why do I even bother...

WTF

Very very tired of being forced to assume responsibilities for everything and anything that happens under the roof.

I think sometimes, it really doesn't pay to be nice, because as time passes, people around me start to assume that being nice is part of my purpose in life and forget that I am still human and that I have a life, too.

For instance, I have the right to refuse spending money cos I don't have any to spare. But NO, I've been emotionally blackmailed into taking up a loan to travel to somewhere I don't really wish to go simply because the rest thinks that I should since I "have the time & will have the money".

FYI:
1. Accounting grad doesn't = immediate millionaire, doesn't = god cos god doesn't have to pay for bills, transportation, food, repay study loans, insurance nor save for the future with only $1800 a month~
2. Savings have been depleted in order to keep myself breathing today~

As if that's not bad enough, was over at spencer's trying to sort out some interview questions so that we 2 can, hopefully, land ourselves with a better/higher paying job with better prospects, and soon enough I've got a call, a tirade shooting nasty connotations of what I might be doing with spencer at his place...

HELLO???? I think I'm old enough to know what decency means. And so do spencer, and spencer's parents at the very least?

Trust? after proving myself for 22yrs, please?

Graduation~

And so... ...

.
The Leaders of Tomorrow emerged...

Grad lo!!! =D

After 3 years of torture in Pulau NTU, elatedness is not an exaggeration, especially the proud parents. Mum was rather quiet that day, but the joy and the relief shone through her eyes in a manner sis and I have never seen before. We, too, were thankful and relieved for the arrival of this day, as it marks an end to the tough times and a new beginning for, hopefully and wilfully, the better times. Cheers mum! and heartfelt thanks! =)

And of course for many, including myself, the commencement ceremony is also an equivalent of the "meet the parents" session:

Thank goodness it was a light-hearted affair and the awkwardness was easily forgotten... Meanwhile, Spencer and I took the chance to bask in the few moments of glory.

And of course, friends. What am I without those kakees whom I stuck thru thick and thin with during the haunting NTU days.. =)

& many others whom i'll miss.
End of a chapter and a new beggining to another. I'm glad for the way things turned out in my story so far. whew!

A little kindness please?

A little kindness goes a L o n g way...

Despite it being a thursday afternoon, the trains were packed and I was caught in the madness of Singaporeanish pushing and shoving just to get onto the train. Strange thing is, these people never seem to get it. If people from inside the train can't come out, those waiting to board can wait long long before they can board. Sinxxxxxans...

And thoughout the train ride, I gave up my seat 3 times, twice to 2 old man and once to an old lady. Not that I'm in the running to become the "Singapore's most courteous person 2007", I did it so many times in one train ride only because I was the only person (apart from this girl who was embarrassed enough on my 3rd attempt to give it up to another old man. I'm glad someone knows I've only got one bottom...) on the train who even does so.

Back in Eqypt, a 3rd world country, it is almost a reflex reaction for men to give up their seats to ladies, and younger folks to the older/weaker folks. I think Singaporeans ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Anyway, following up on the comments posted regarding the previous entry, here's how to differentiate the HS brothers....

Alrighty, cheers to all the kindness left in this country.

Paying debts slowly.....

I know what's the problem I have now.. I miss my friends =(
Noticed a funny trend, my close friends are mostly in groups of 3, and of all the groups, a member will be overseas, and the other is working or super buzy. I think i'm just too free and too bored and it's haunting me =( bumming around isn't as fun as I thought it would be...

Anyway, here are some pics I owe everybody back in malacca!

Here are those taken in June last year when da gu gu came back from the states! Pity Leah and Kai didn't come!

My poor sis got crusHed...

And then Ah Fong...

Ok, that's all for now. Rushing out for a friend's convo. Stay tuned for more Photos! Sorry it took so long =p
Cheers =)

Graduation...

Guess it's finally my turn to grad now! I'm sOo glad to be out of that sucky sch and seems like I'm not the only one =p Even Mars didn't submit to the extortion by the school for $$$. Gosh, what's up with those people? a whooping $400 to join the NTU Alumni club! I thought it should be free......

Anyway, we went to sch to collect our academic dress (mine's got a pretty orange collar with a white rim) and I took some photos for my job application on our way out. Check this out~~

Well, not too bad la, considering spencer's edited it with photoshop and elogated my face a lil... MaN i look good!

Anyway, though the day went by all right, somehow something feels terribly wrong. =/ Oh well, "when the boat reaches the bridge, it will straighten out naturally.." We shall see...

Chatting with my sexiest cousin in the universe now. Defintely more important than blogging cos it takes a lot of concentration... ciao!

geo-spot...

Geo-spot... ha...

Insults. A great way to motivate people just like how I was motivated into starting a blog.

In fact, it is probably the best and the worst way to motivate anyone - to insult the insultor back to let the insultor get a feel of what it's like for an insultee... And to show that the insultee is very bu shuang, and insulted.

Ok. I think i need sleep...
